Hyundai Santa Cruz: Timing System / Front Oil Seal

- Replacement

1.Remove the crankshaft damper pulley.(Refer to Drive Belt System - "Crankshaft Damper Pulley")

2.Remove the front oil seal (A).

3.Install the new front oil seal.

(1)Apply engine oil on the edge of new oil seal.

   

• Remove any foreign substances from the lip portion of the oil seal.

(2)Use SST (09214-L1100, 09231-H1100) and a rubber mallet to lightly tap and install the new front oil seal (A).

   

• Do not reuse the front oil seal.

4.Install in the reverse order of removal.
