1.Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
2.Remove the heater control unit.(Refer to Heating, Ventilation And Air Conditioning - "Heater Control Unit")
3.Remove the IBU (A) after loosening mounting bolt, nut and screw.
4.Disconnect IBU connectors and then remove the IBU (A).
1.Install in the reverse order of removal.
• When replacing the intergated body control unit, perform the procedure below using a diagnostic device.(Refer to Integrated Body Control Unit (IBU) - "Variant Coding")(Refer to Smart Key System- "Smart Key Code Saving")(Refer to Suspension System - "Register Sensor")
1.In the body electrical system, failure can be quickly diagnosed by using the vehicle diagnostic system.
(1)Fault Code Searching : Checking failure and code number (DTC)
(2)Data Analysis : Checking the system input/output data state
(3)Actuation test : Checking the system operation condition
(4)S/W Management : Controlling other features including system option setting and zero point adjustment
2.If diagnose the vehicle by diagnostic tool, select "DTC Analysis" and "Vehicle".
3.If check current status, select the "Data Analysis" and "Car model".
4.Select the 'IBU_BCM' to search the current state of the input/output data.
– If the integrated body control unit is replaced with a new one, variant coding is performed.
– If a warning light is on or a DTC is displayed, perform the variant coding.
• Integrated body control unit (IBU) variant coding makes it possible to operate functions for each vehicle type.
• If the variant coding differs from the vehicle specification, a DTC is displayed.
1.If the integrated body control unit (IBU) is replaced with a new one, perform the "Variant Coding" procedure using diagnostic tool.
(1)Connect the diagnostic device to the data link connector, turn on the ignition (IGN ON), and then activate the diagnostic tool.
(2)Select the'Car model' and "Integrated Body Control Unit-BCM".
(3)Select the 'Variant Coding' and follow the instructions on the screen.
